Ordering bulk material is mostly one question: how many cubic yards, and what does that weigh? These calculators answer it for any mix of shapes, in feet, yards or meters, with an optional estimate of bags, truckloads and cost.

How the numbers are worked out

Volume is plain geometry (area × depth, converted to cubic yards). Weight uses typical supplier ranges for each material, shown as a range because real weight depends on the product and its moisture; you can enter your supplier's own figure. Recommended depths come from university extension services and are linked on each page.
